Jim’s top priority is ensuring a strong public school system that has adequate funding support from the state. He fought against republican-led efforts to further cut funds for Minneapolis’ schools, especially compensatory aid.
To help preserve our community’s natural resources, Jim co-authored a bill to help clean up Powderhorn Park lake and pushed for the state to increase its use of alternative energy sources such as wind and solar power.
